DEEP CINEMATIC COLOR TONES
Many colorists struggle to create deep reds, dense skin colors and stylized looks. When pushing saturation inside of Resolve, it unintentionally brightens the image and introduce video-colours. Gradelab solves this by using subtractive technology that allows colors to become deeper as the saturation rises —similar to the behavior found in high-end color systems like Baselight.
Gradelab is my go-to for creating deep color tones. As a former Baselight user, the subtractive balancing is what I miss the most.
